When fitting the KiddyGuard at the top of stairs, place the
gate at the top floor level, 15cm / 6" from the first
step. When fitting the KiddyGuard at the bottom of stairs,
place the gate at the lowest stair. Always make sure that the
base of the KiddyGuard is in contact with the floor.
B) Fixing the handle
Decide from which side you prefer to operate the gate. Then
press the handle into the slot
C) Attaching the
wallfixing and the friction spacer Release the gate (see operating below) and pull it out
0,5 m. Then attach the wallfixings and let the gate roll up
again. Attach the friction spacer.
Installation in general Roller part. Attach the KiddyGuard, in one of the
directions shown in the Figures above. NB: the base of the
KiddyGuard should be in contact with the floor.
If you have a solid wood wall or door frame, mount the
KiddyGuard by using the Long Wood Screws (provided). Use the
rawl plugs (provided) if mounting onto a concrete or brick
wall. If mounting on any other wall material, be sure to use
an appropriate fixing system.
Attach the top cap according to the picture.
Pull out the gate. See Operating below.
Place and hold one of the hooks in the upper hole in the
locking catch. Position the hook on to the wall/frame so that
the gate is properly stretched. Fix the lower hook with screws
in the same way.
If there is a base board on the wall to which the lower wall
attachment is to be attached, a corresponding distance plate
with thickness of the base board needs to be firmly attached
to the wall as a mounting base for attaching the upper wall
attachment and/or upper locking hook. This is in order to make
the gate parallel to the wall, see fig 9.
Two distance plates are part of the KiddyGuard Wall
Installation Kit.
Operating
The KiddyGuard is easily operated one-handed. To close the
KiddyGuard, release the gate by (1) pulling out the
combination button on the top of the gate, (2) pushing down
the inner button and (3) pushing the combination button back
to its original position, while maintaining a downward
pressure on the button (Fig 5). The gate is then unlocked, and
the button can be released. Pull out the gate and hook the
locking catch (L) onto the locking hooks (D). KiddyGuard
automatically locks closed.
The KiddyGuard should not be subject to mechanical damage
e.g. hitting it with sharp, hard objects or scratching from
your pet's claws as this will cause damage.
When fitted in place, check the barrier to ensure that it is
properly fixed and secure.
The KiddyGuard's general condition and safety mechanism should
be checked periodically.
Never use the KiddyGuard if any component is damaged
or missing.
Do not allow adults, children or pets to climb over or under
the safety barrier; this may damage the gate and cause injury.
Additional and replacement parts should only be obtained from
the manufacturer or distributor.
This product complies with European Standard EN 1930, which
